Park Slope Greens Monthly Meeting – Monday June 8, 7PM

By   June 6, 2015

The past month has seen several big successes, from a packed house at the Cultural Tribute to the Black Lives Matter Movement, to an impressive Green Party   presence at Left Forum, and finally to a great statewide meeting yesterday afternoon.

Now it’s time to ramp up our local organizing. Jill Stein will launch her campaign for President in the coming weeks, and this summer and fall will see a huge coalition of grassroots groups plan to “Flood the System,” with a coordinated series of actions calling out our economic system as the root cause of the climate crisis, leading up to the November UN summit in Paris. Greens are planning to participate in the Climate Mobilization Teach-In next Sunday and we have decisions to make on the message we want to spread at upcoming street fairs.

On a related note – Sunday, June 21 we will be tabling at the Seventh Heaven Street Fair which is always a lot of fun and well attended. Please contact dani@gpbk.org to sign up to help.

Park Slope Greens meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at the Park Slope United Methodist Church at the corner of 6th Avenue and 8th Street (basement/garden entrance) in Park Slope.
