Gotham Gazette Game On The Insane Undemocratic Nature Of Getting On The Ballot

In the style of an old school adventure game!

Karen Young Points Out That Things Are Actually Much Worse:
“Thanks for including Starla the “third party” candidate in your game. However, you didn’t mention all the EXTRA hurdles for third parties in your article. You say that “candidates could begin collecting signatures for their designating petitions on June 9″ – but independent parties don’t get to START until July 7. Just one of the many ways the Democrats and Republicans – doing such a bang-up job of running the government right now, doncha think? – work together to stifle competition. The Green Party is running five candidates for office and we’re out there right now – if you want better candidates and elected officials, at least sign our petitions, and consider voting for us in November!”

Cynthia McKinney Back On Home Soil07.10.09

Noted bosun’s mate Cynthia McKinney has returned to the U.S. following her latest excursion to the Middle East. While resting in an Israeli jail, Ms. McKinney penned her memoirs, part of which declared Israel “a failed state” if it was threatened by her desire to bring Gazan children crayons.

According to Ms. McKinney, many of her fellow relief transportation experts were from Ethiopia; perhaps they helped her understand the true meaning of “failed state.”

Meanwhile, Hamas militants in Gaza are feverishly building crayon bombs.
